Who needs toys when we can just turn off the lights in the living/game room and zap each other with static electricity and giggle at the blue sparks?

Lunar Eclipse
It was cloudy here up until the eclipse began, but the sky opened up a patch just wide enough that we could view the entire event, stars and all. It was pretty cool and i'm glad we woke the kids because i doubt any photos or video can show what we saw with our own eyes.
Ryvre toughed it out til the end.
Unfortunately, none of my photographs of the moon turned out well. But we have our memories.

Geology and Botony
We did two science projects last week: Smithsonian Rock and Gem Dig Kit, which the kids received for Christmas, and some flower and herb grow kits from Dollar Tree. Here are some pictures of the dig kit in progress:
