Visit with Grandma Mona

We recently spent nine days with Grandma Mona The kids with my cousin, Abby.  She was awesome at keeping them entertained. Helping with the yardwork Hunt's Farm Playing Great-Great Grandma Lorene's organ Feeding the horses Loving the horses Checking out the soybean crop Pumpkin Painting Serious artist The scarecrow they helped stuff Skater Boy Birthday kisses Opening Ember's birthday gifts (yup, that's a Decepticon!) The hat.  It is much loved Raking leaves at Aunt Kristie's.  Or rather, playing with rakes. Sadly, my camera is missing, so i have no pics of Ryvre's Halloween/Birthday party :(

Funny Girl

	Ember is a comic genius. Dale announced he wanted to watch his new movie (extended version of LOTR) and the kids groaned, hoping to watch cartoons first. i said "Don't worry, you guys will like it too" to which Ember responed: "And three!" Well i thought it was brilliant

Upcoming Challenges

	Ryvre will be very hard to challenge this year. He just learned to tell time.  i admit, i should have gotten to it sooner, but it took him all of five minutes to master.  i dare say that is unusual. i'm pretty certain Willow is ready for Kindergarten.  She is barely four, but just behind her brother in writing and math.  i'm going with it...

Willow's Party

Willow finally had her birthday party today! Last night Dale and i realized we could use the pool at the resort he works at; we even scored free use of an empty conference room


And...Ryvre lost his first tooth!

Bionic...What Now?

Ryvre will hate me for sharing this when he's older, but i really must.
He drew a bionic face. Guess what were on its cheeks...that's right, bionic testicles.

*ahem*

Do you have any idea how hard it was to try NOT to laugh at that?

Yes, he does know what testicles are. We use the proper terms for everything in this house. But i asked him to make sure, and he confirmed it for me. That's when i felt it was appropriate to laugh.

And it get's better.

When i asked him what the bionic testicles were for, he answered very matter-of-factly: "To power my bionic brain."

The truest words come from the mouths of babes, eh?
