Blueberry Picking

I'll be honest: this was fun for about 30 minutes.  After that, it was hot, and 1.5 kids were grouchy.  The berries are delicious though!

Family Reunion

The Sollars side of the family had a reunion this weekend, so my mom and i hopped into dad's truck with the kids, and spent the weekend in Northwest Missouri.

There were a lot more little kids there than i thought there would be!  Here's about half of them:

Fun with the In-Laws

Due to my father-in-law's 6-months-on, 6-months-off work schedule, the kids spend lots of time during the summer with their paternal grandparents.

And sometimes their beautiful Aunt Sara!

Our Kitty

We have a new friend.  His name is Isaac, and he's a tiny little stray that has stolen our hearts.

Park Time

I use the term 'park' very loosely.  Our town doesn't actually have one.  But the Wal-Mart, 20 minutes away, has a demo playground set up.  It's a really convenient place to meet relatives for kid swaps.

Geology and Botony

We did two science projects last week: Smithsonian Rock and Gem Dig Kit, which the kids received for Christmas, and some flower and herb grow kits from Dollar Tree.  Here are some pictures of the dig kit in progress:

Papa's Birthday

Yesterday was Papa's birthday.  The kids met with him and Nana on Saturday, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and spent the night.  They woke up to a big breakfast and showered him with cards and attention.
