Apologies

My apologies for blogging in the past again; it's been busy around here!  I should get all caught up in one go though, so the feeds of my followers will only be flooded for a short time.

Winter Swim

It was unseasonably warm today, so the kids begged to go to the (indoor) pool at Daddy's work.

New Shoes

Reasonably priced kids' shoes tend to be flimsy and ridiculously decorated.  And the more decorated and less sturdy, the more expensive.  My husband's solution: find a very boring but well-made and inexpensive white pair, and let the kid decorate them herself. 

Here's the result:

Snow Day

Some unpleasant drama over our neighborhood well caused us to be away from home during our most recent snow.  We managed to play in it at the resort.

Who needs toys when we can just turn off the lights in the living/game room and zap each other with static electricity and giggle at the blue sparks?

That's What I'm Talkin About

I just overheard the 7-year-old explain (accurately) to the 5-year-old not only how babies are made, but how they can be made without a daddy. Score one for getting these things out of the way early, haha.
